Is television available?

Patagonia Camp was created so that our guests may fully experience the exuberant nature of Torres del Paine, and experience the sensation of “getting away from it all.” For this reason we do not have televisions on our property.

Are there telephones?

The yurts do come with telephones, which can be used for contact with the reception desk or other yurts, and it is possible to dial national and international numbers.

Is there a business center at  Patagonia Camp ?

There is no Business Center at Patagonia Camp, however there is WI-FI in the lounge & bar, and we offer one computer for checking e-mails. It is a satellite service and guests should understand that internet service here is slower than usual.

Does Patagonia Camp provide transfer service to and from Cerro Castillo?

Patagonia Camp does not offer service to or from Cerro Castillo.

Does Patagonia Camp have medical facilities?

No, Patagonia Camp does not have medical facilities although our guides do have experience with first-aid. During the summer there is a temporary clinic at the administration center, and there is a hospital in Puerto Natales one hour from the Camp.

What is the tipping policy?

Tips depend on each guest and their level of satisfaction with service, however it is customary to factor a tip of US $10 for each day, and $1 for the baggage porter when he/she delivers your luggage.

Is it possible to communicate with guests in the event of an emergency?

Patagonia Camp has a satellite telephone, and the number is (+56-2) 196-0571. Guests can also be contacted by e-mailing camp@patagoniacamp.com.

How difficult are the excursions?

The excursions at Patagonia Camp are designed for any person who is in average shape, whether kids, teens or adults. Excursions are half-day or full-day, with the Towers hike being the most physically demanding (but also the most spectacular).

Can the programs be modified ?

Our programs are designed to begin in Punta Arenas or Puerto Natales. If guests wish to be picked up at a different destination, it is an additional cost.

Are there alternative options to the daily menu?

Our menus feature local products including lamb, southern hake, calafate berries, and more. Please let us know ahead of time on your reservation form if you have any dietary restrictions.

What is the climate like in Torres del Paine?

It is common to hear that a visitor to Torres del Paine can experience all 4 seasons in one day. For this reason we advise that you bring comfortable, light clothing as well as a warm jacket and hat to protect yourself from the frequent wind. For trekking excursions we recommend that you bring hiking boots or sturdy sneakers, and a small backpack to carry items such as sunscreen and additional clothing.

Are there ATMs in Torres del Paine?

No, there are no ATMs in Torres del Paine, and we recommend that you bring enough cash with you. The nearest ATM is in Puerto Natales.
