This hike begins directly from the Camp. It’s a wide trail that was used back in the days by wooden wagons that connect small rocky peninsulas of the south basin of Lake Toro with the Alevines Bay. As you are advancing towards the South-East, we enter a Lenga, and Notro (Firebush) forest. The hike is uphill with soft elevation to have views of Lake Toro and its islands to the South, as well as a vast panorama of mountain chains and native forests full of flowers and birds during summertime.

It is possible to appreciate the Toro Sierra and the Paine Massif on a clear day, along with experimenting with the classic winds coming from the Southern Patagonian Ice-Field. Along the way and 20 minutes after hiking, there are different lookout points to choose from which is why the final destination will depend on how far you want to hike. This journey arrives back at the Camp using the same trail, this time, with Mount Tenerife and the Yurts fo Patagonia Camp. It is the perfect panorama for a contemplation journey with low physical demand, far from the regular touristic centers, and with no other mode of transportation besides our feet. This hike uses a brief portion of the “Peninsula of the Maitines” excursion.
