We’re delighted to share that Patagonia Camp has been named the best resort in Patagonia and ranked No. 5 in Central and South America in the UK edition of Condé Nast Traveller’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards.

With a score of 98.29 out of 100, this recognition places us among the region’s highest-rated resorts. More importantly, it reflects the experiences of travelers who have visited our corner of Patagonia and chosen to share their memories.nt to creating authentic, memorable journeys deeply connected to nature.

An Award Shaped by Travel Experiences

Each year, Condé Nast Traveller’s Readers’ Choice Awards celebrate the destinations, hotels, and travel experiences that have made a lasting impression on the magazine’s readers.

Based on votes from travelers around the world, the awards reflect their personal experiences and the places they have loved most.

This year, Patagonia Camp ranked fifth among the best resorts in Central and South America, earning the highest position of any resort in Patagonia.

Beyond the ranking itself, what makes this recognition so meaningful to us is that it comes directly from travelers. Their experiences are at the heart of everything we do, inspiring us to keep finding new ways to explore and connect with Patagonia.

A Deeper Connection with Nature

From our yurts nestled in the native forest, overlooking Lake Toro and the Paine Massif, to excursions through Torres del Paine National Park and our private territory, every part of the Patagonia Camp experience is designed to bring our guests closer to nature.

To us, discovering Patagonia is about more than exploring its landscapes. It’s about taking the time to observe, learning about the land from those who know it best, and finding moments of connection that stay with you long after your journey ends.

This is the spirit we hope to share with every guest, and one we’re proud to see reflected in this recognition.

Spring marks the beginning of a new season at Patagonia Camp. We are once again welcoming our guests to Chilean Patagonia after a winter spent preparing the hotel, strengthening our team, and expanding the opportunities to explore the natural world around us.

This year, the new developments start with the people who bring the hotel to life every day. New shifts, months of training, and a certification platform go hand in hand with improvements to our infrastructure, an updated menu, and more kilometers of trails to explore at your own pace.

More Time for Rest and Personal Life

We are starting the season with a shift schedule of nine days on and five days off for the hotel staff, and eight days on and four days off for the drivers. This change is part of our ongoing effort to improve the quality of life for our employees, within the limits permitted by current legislation.

With this initiative, we are moving two years ahead of the reduction of the workweek to 40 hours scheduled for 2028. We aim to ensure that rest and personal time play an increasingly important role in the lives of those who work at Patagonia Camp.

A Winter Dedicated to Learning

Nearly 1,900 people applied to join our team this season. We welcomed this interest with joy and a sense of responsibility to continue building a place where people can learn and grow. Over the winter, we organized certificate programs, workshops, certification courses, and technical training sessions for all areas of the hotel. It was a period of preparation that allowed us to deepen our knowledge and strengthen the tools each team uses to do its work.

Among these initiatives, the Excursion Academy for our guides stands out; it included three months of training and a total of 540 instructional hours. This training complements their work guiding guests and sharing with them the areas we visit.

Meanwhile, all area managers and assistant managers participated in the “Regenerative Leadership and Team Management” certificate program, organized by the Universidad de Las Américas. This program focused on how we lead and support the people who make up Patagonia Camp.

Patagonia Camp Makers and Continuing Education

This season, we also launched Patagonia Camp Makers, our internal online certification platform, created to certify all of the company’s employees.

With this tool, we ensure that learning continues beyond the winter training sessions and provide a shared training space for those who work in the various departments at Patagonia Camp.

A Renovation Under the Walkways

While the teams were preparing for the grand opening, we also carried out a comprehensive renovation of the hotel’s gas, drinking water, electricity, and heating systems.

Beneath the walkways connecting the various areas of Patagonia Camp, we replaced these systems and worked to bring them up to code, update them, optimize them, and certify them.

These are improvements that aren’t immediately visible, but they support the hotel’s day-to-day operations and ensure our guests’ comfort.

New flavors for this season

The restaurant is also kicking off the 2026–2027 season with some new offerings. We’ve updated 40% of our menu with new dishes designed to delight our guests.

After a day of sightseeing, returning to the restaurant will be an opportunity to discover new dishes and leisurely enjoy the offerings from our kitchen team.

More trails to explore at your own pace

This year, we added five kilometers of self-guided trails, bringing the total length of the network around the hotel to approximately 27 kilometers (about 17 miles).

For those who enjoy walking and stopping to take in the sights, this expansion offers more options for exploring at their own pace.

An invitation to set aside some time to explore the surrounding area and discover the details that emerge when we walk at a leisurely pace.

We’ll meet again in Patagonia

The 2026–2027 season is the result of months of work at the hotel and in preparing our teams. We are delighted to share this news with those visiting us for the first time and with those returning to Patagonia Camp.

We look forward to welcoming you to discover the new flavors of our cuisine, explore our trails, and enjoy a stay surrounded by the natural beauty of Chilean Patagonia.
