Discover one of Patagonia’s premier birdwatching destinations and the extraordinary diversity of bird species that inhabit this remarkable corner of the world.
*Excursion with an additional cost for the All-Inclusive Shared program.
The experience takes place at Estancia Vega Castillo, a wetland neighboring Patagonia Camp where wetlands, forests, steppes, shrublands, mountains, lakes, and rivers converge. The interaction of these ecosystems creates an exceptionally rich habitat, ideal for observing both resident and migratory birds.
Accompanied by a specialized guide, you’ll explore this unique landscape at your own pace while learning about the birds’ behaviors, adaptations, and the ecological roles they play within the ecosystem. Tailored to each guest’s interests, this experience offers a unique opportunity to discover Patagonia’s remarkable natural heritage.
Throughout the day, you’ll build your own bird checklist, turning each sighting into a memorable part of your journey. If you wish, you can also share your observations through citizen science platforms, contributing to the monitoring and conservation of resident and migratory birds throughout the region.
We provide travelers with trekking poles, helmets and give them a reusable water bottle.
