Patagonia Camp operates under a business model that seeks to balance environmental impact, team well-being, and regional development.
Today, we directly employ nearly 150 people, creating formal jobs in a remote region where opportunities are often limited or seasonal.
In addition, approximately 60% of our purchases and services are sourced locally, supporting suppliers, entrepreneurs, and producers across the region.
Our main initiatives include:
Organic waste that cannot be composted is sent to Estancia Lago Pinto as feed for pigs, keeping it out of landfills.
We are also working to progressively eliminate single-use plastics, which now account for less than 5% of our operations.
Our kitchen prioritizes seasonal ingredients sourced from local and regional suppliers.
This approach creates an authentic culinary experience while supporting local economies and reducing our transportation footprint.
As part of this vision, we work with regional producers such as Gente de Mar, a fishing cooperative in Puerto Natales, supporting the local economy, its traditions and culture, while promoting environmental stewardship and shorter supply chains.
